i’m a little behind on my tbr rn but i just started this Teen Wolf meets Emergency Contact vibes story, LYCANTHROPY AND OTHER CHRONIC ILLNESSES by Kristen O’Neal, starring a main character, Priya, a premed student diagnosed with chronic lyme disease, who embarks on a road trip to find her online friend Brigid IRL when Brigid stops virtually showing up to their regular Discord chronic illness support group, only to find an unexpected surprise awaiting for her at her destination.

in their author note, O’Neal writes: “I wrote it for everyone who felt the loneliness, isolation, and invisibility that comes with being young and being sick.” living with chronic pain myself, that made me even more intrigued to embark on this journey with Priya, Brigid, and their Discord server support group. in this panna cotta, my biggest sources of support have come from the Discord servers I am a part of, so—HEAVY RELATE. hooray for found family!
