Having the McCarthy Salad (my grandfather) at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills with my pal, Tyne Daly. #cagneyandlacey
My partner-in-crime and I. Celebrating Seder after being badly burned by the Florida sun. We have traded our guns for masks. I love Tyne Daly. We still crack one another up.
I am too sad for words. Goodbye my friend.
I won! I won! I won! I won!
Happy Tony night to my Broadway pals. Can’t wait to see you do your thing again soon. #tonyawards
Happy Bunny Day to all my peeps!!!
Happy Independence Day, everyone. It’s time for gratitude.
Lisa Banes, an amazing actress, is fighting for her life today. Lisa played my sister for 2 years in “The Trials of Rosie O’Neill”. She is critical – a hit and run – And she needs all our prayers right now.
Happy birthday to my friend of 40 years, actress-writer Renee Taylor. Her middle name is Adorée. So fitting, as I couldn’t adore her more. Sign me up for another 40 years. Here she is with her husband, Joe Bologna and moi.
Happy Birthday, Ro Ro!!! I continue to love you. Glessy!
I can’t watch myself on screen. So, I never have. However, Barney got word that The Trials of Rosie O’Neill is now released on Amazon Prime and Apple TV, and he settled in to view the 34 episodes we created over 2 seasons. I tried to ignore it, but got lured into the living room by the unique opening scene we used in each episode of the series. We made a really good show. I humbly admit…I’m hooked. https://twitter.com/sharongless/status/1364251588748062723?s=21
Tyne and I at the final callback audition to play Mama Rose in “Gypsy” on Broadway. They went with the brunette.
So proud of my niece Bridget Gless Keller who toured me through the nearly completed Children’s Institute Frank Gehry building in Watts. What an achievement—especially during COVID. Her years of leadership will Impact generations of children, and their families. I le u, Bug Frank Gehry Children’s Institute – CII

It’s National Coming Out day! In 2000, when I was cast in Queer As Folk, it increased my ever-growing appreciation for all LGBTQ people who are bravely true to themselves. I stand in support. And, I love you. Always.
The annual trip to the farm! Will report later.
Who wore it best?
My very Irish “Grandpa” Neil S. McCarthy, Hollywood entertainment attorney, loved horse racing. This is Grandpa and my mom with one of his ponies. Who do I look most like? Do NOT answer “the horse.” 🍀
Tyne Daly and I will be live tonight at 8pm ET on starsinthehouse.com! Tune in! @starsinthehouse @sethrudetsky @jameswesleynyc @theactorsfund @tynedalyonline @martinkove
