Veena Malik Instagram – HELLO All…. I had the privilege to give a speech at @indus_university campus in Karachi … it was the most empowering experience interacting with the students and exchanging thoughts on the most important Health issue we are facing in recent times and that’s “Breast cancer” We talked about how we could be a part to create awareness among families where males also have to be the part since this cancer not only life threatening to women it effects men too… so we collectively need to talk about it as women feel uncomfortable discussing issues related to Breast as They say the disease affects one in every nine women in the country, but that cultural and social taboos make it very hard for women to get the help they need to survive. “Breast cancer is associated with women’s sexuality so it becomes a taboo subject here… So let’s normalise talking about it… I think … Every woman should know how her breasts normally look and feel, so she can recognize any changes that may occur. “While knowing what to look for is important, a woman should still get her regular mammograms and clinical breast exams, as these tests can help detect breast cancer before she even has symptoms… So I wanted to play a part to this cause Along with @irfanistan and with my entire team @ghaniaasadpk @tahseenkhanoffical and @mateenshahphotography we visited @indus_university And Exchanged thots on the issues n talked about it..Every October you likely see a wealth of information about breast cancer. And that is a good thing. Awareness surrounding breast cancer is incredibly important as early detection, often through screening, can catch the disease when it is most treatable. In the End I would like to thank @irfanistan and @indus_university for having me over to interact with students and talking about the most important Health Issue… 🙏🙌🥰
