In Japanese culture the lucky Daruma is not just a figure for warding off misfortune or bringing good luck, the Daruma is also used to signify the achievement of a goal, by painting one Eye when the goal is made, and the other Eye once the goal has been reached. And I can’t wait to paint that with my goal in mind!!! Can you guess what it is?☺️❤️ Also what I found really interesting is it’s ability to return to an upright position when pushed over. This is espoused in the proverb “nana-korobiya-oki” which means fall over seven times, get up eight. To continue to try when faced with adversity until at last you succeed. 🌈🌸The rainbow Daruma was created as a symbol for sexual minorities around the world to live a more personal life.
