Jankee Parekh Instagram – Exactly a month ago on 10.07.2021 Sufi took his first flight to Goa. Although it was a short 45 min flight I remember speaking to many mums on what to carry and what not. I planned for days on end to make sure that Sufi is comfortable during our stay there. I had kept all things handy in the diaper bag that he may need incase he poops, pees, cries. Extra diapers, disposable changing mats, medicines incase of ear pressure, blanket, extra set of clothes, toys, the works. However I didn’t end up using any of it. Sufi was stuck to me in the baby carrier from the time I got out of the car at the mumbai airport till i landed in Goa. Jankee Parekh Instagram – 5th aug 2021, we introduced Sufi to semi solids for the first time. We did a small pooja with Bijal maami after which he got his first taste of puréed Apple. He hated it 😃 He stared at us with an expression of utter bafflement. With every bite, he kept dissecting as to why does his milk taste so different. When I offered it to him the 4th time, he threw the spoon away. At the end of the meal he also had his first sip of water and gulped it all down immediately. It was just so much fun to see all sorts of expressions on his face. Hunger, confusion, rejection, satisfaction all at the same time. Watching your baby eat is such a satisfying feeling. I was just so excited, with every morsel he was taking it. I now understand why our mums keep asking us till date if we have eaten our meal or not 😃 Can’t wait to introduce my little human to a whole bunch of foods.
