Blake Michael Instagram – Happy 9th anniversary of Dog with a Blog.
What a wild ride. We premiered 9 years ago.
I remember moving to LA with my mom. We put 3 months on the clock, then we’d move back to Atlanta, my hometown.
We rented a place and slept on air mattresses – no furniture either! I auditioned for so many projects with no luck – BUT I walked away from every audition having learned something. 1% better every time. (That’s my secret to auditioning and handling rejection, thanks to my Mom)
We were losing hope when out of the blue Disney came to me and had me read for what was then a show with a title I almost turned down. “Dog with a Blog”… really?! Okay, sure I’ll read for it. 🙄
4 years and 4 Emmy nominations later… it was totally worth it. Not to mention the incredible relationships, experience, and family I built from it.
