You sent me a boat but I was destined to swim
My mind is a hoax and this thought is a trend
It stirs up an ol’ familiar tune in my bones
That repeats like thunder and burns what has grown
Rolling with repetition this can’t be my detention
If I choose to fight battles with an intention of prevention
I need to fly high; above the darkness, to the starlight
Before I lose my perspective to the game of far-sight
