A family of 11 members, each with a sense of purpose and individuality but fiercely driven by religion, superstition & patriarchy were convinced into taking the extreme step of ending their own lives for the better good. There is a fine line between being religious and in being delusional. The documentary perfectly executes that. What’s intriguing is that they seemed like a bunch of normal, loving & happy people to the outside world. No one could have ever guessed what was actually going on in their heads. That’s how complex a human mind can be. How could this family so strongly & collectively believe in some stupid cult? There is no logical explanation or answers as to why this could have happened. It only leaves you with so many questions. Who is to be blamed? The ever growing society & the lack of interconnected ness, as very rightly put in the show. Mental illness is real. Stop making it a taboo subject. We can save lives if we openly let people discuss their mental state.
