Marisa Ramirez Instagram – Thank you so much for all of the birthday love. It means the world to me and has filled my bucket and my heart too. To be completely transparent, I had not been looking forward to this birthday as it’s the first without my grandma or my dad.
Last year on this day my dad was released from the hospital following an intense chemo treatment. I celebrated with him a couple days later and fully expected him to be on his journey to recovery so we could spend more special days together…
The morning of my birthday today I spent in an ER with my daughter and her father. She had vomited for over 12 hours and at one point became limp. Her poor little body could not keep anything down. I felt helpless but surprisingly found strength to support her and not scare her. Fortunately it was only a stomach bug or possibly food poisoning. She is better now. Every possibility went through my mind and I started to drive myself crazy but something told me she was going to be ok. It all reminded me of how precious life is and how lucky I am to have had so much time with my grandma and my dad. How lucky I am just in general. The past year and a half have been devastating for so many and navigating our way through it is not easy. I am excited for my next year and I hope you all are too. Cheers to you all.
