Our deity Shirgul Maharaj (Lord Shiva) from Dewat temple is taken out on a Palki and all the villagers celebrate the festival for two days, folk songs and local cuisines attract hundreds of devotees from neighbouring village! The procession heads to the main Kuldevi , Thor Mata Temple ( Durga Maa) in Shantha where Jagra (local term for Diwali) is culminated and everyone dances their hearts out in praise of our local deities!
