The roads that you drag race over, throwing up your smoke, fire spitting out of your pipes, kids holding on for dear life as you net all the necessities of the day continues to frustrate and move me. You are better than me and I’m rendered spastic trying to maneuver out of the chains of my own making as I watch you flower and blossom through the years. This is hard: this parenting, this lack of sleep, this contraction of hours and conversation but there isn’t a soul on earth I’d rather be doing it with than you, my love.
