Women make up one-half of our world so to be given the support and platform to tell some of their stories through my company Freebird Films feels incredible. I feel lucky that I will play my small part in rewriting the way the female narrative will be reclaimed and shaped in history. Freida Pinto Instagram – Today I’m highlighting the @pharmfoundationtrust for their amazing work in supporting transgender individuals with COVID-19 relief and year around. The Pharm Foundation is a charitable trust founded and run by transgender social worker M Nila. Along with a group of volunteers, Nila is gathering emergency rations for transgender individuals who have been hit by the disastrous second wave of COVID-19 in Chennai. Carried out through their own transgender community volunteers, the foundation hopes to give dry rations to 1,000 community members living in the regions of Chengalpattu and Kanchipuram.
