HercuSleaze Instagram – The WIZARD of OZ ❇️ This was my runway look for episode 6 of Call Me Mother, theme: Musicals! I thought of this because the queer community is known for their love of this film and we’ve seen so many iconic drag interpretations of these characters on Drag Race and on Dragula (Landon Cider’s Tin Man is legendary) but I’d never seen anyone do the Wizard himself!!!
Fun fact: I made the headpiece entirely in the hotel and had to get resourceful with materials! It’s stuffed entirely with the brown paper bags that our meals were delivered in.
Also on TV they don’t show the back of the cape but it is my favourite part! It’s satin ruched in a diamond pattern, thanks to Max for helping me sew all the buttons to the underside to create this effect!
