Lifebuoy, in partnership Department of Basic Education (DBE), announced today that the National Schools Hygiene & Sanitation Programme will be expanding to the Western Cape, to reach a further 224 040 Grade 1 learners in 1327 schools to receive access to lifesaving information. This takes the total to over 4 million Grade 1 learners in 15 000 schools to have now received handwashing behaviour change education since 2018 through the programme.
