The night didn’t pan out how we’d hoped but we went to a real event with real people in real dresses and I didn’t trip wearing heels for the first time in about 2 years so…still a win! So proud of you mommy. Always 🧡 #creativeartsemmys #bridgerton Makeup: me via @lindakaufmanbeauty Hair: me via @andrew_b_wachter

Missing this one & aimless afternoon drives in questionable cars
Please take the time to read. Most have no idea what crew go through. I stand with #IA #repost @indiadebeaufort Tv and film production is insane. A 12 hour day is a good day. 14 hour days are a regular occurrence and for some shows 16 hour days somehow become normalized. There are crew members that have NO BREAKS built into their contract. Transpo are the first in/last out and OPERATE VEHICLES on 4 hours of sleep. PA’s barely have time to pee. By the time hair and makeup sit down to eat lunch (that they just lined up with 160 people to get) an actor is stepping into their trailer for touch ups. In an average week, work begins at the crack of dawn Monday and ends in the wee hours of Saturday morning before starting all over again. That means one full nights sleep a week with set lag. That means barely seeing your family and close to never seeing friends. But crews must be treated with the highest level of respect for working themselves into the ground right? Wrong. The term “below the line” is regularly used and makes me want to vomit. Well then a crew must be paid a crap ton and receive all kinds of perks for giving up their life for their job right? Wrong. Ask a PA how fairly they think they’re compensated for one of the hardest jobs I’ve ever seen. All this is just the tip of the iceberg. I recently heard a story of 20 plus crew members going to the emergency room because production wouldn’t shut down during a heat wave. A PA collapsed. They kept rolling. I heard about a camera operator that split his head open, was taken to hospital for stitches and then sent back to work to finish the day. Actors witness this madness and then get to take naps during the scenes we’re not in; knowing we have two days off this week while someone brings us a warm coat and an umbrella or a snack and transpo drives us safely home while a crew member is falling asleep at a stop light. I regret every action I ever made that ignorantly extended a crew members day. I stand with you @iatse and I support your vote to strike for better protections and an actual life. Thank you for Television and Film, because without you… it doesn’t exist. ❤️ Read first hand accounts at @ia_stories
