Pallavi Sharda Instagram – Back to my roots. My preferred style of dress from age of 6 to the point that the scholastic system stuffed me into a dress shirt, kilt and blazer.

Been thinking of the hyper-femme molds I’ve felt obliged to fit into since my adolescence… a lot of it probably to do with being a dancer. Bharatha Natyam as a form allowed us to explore our masculine sides – we played Kings and Rakshasas as well as maidens…. But going into the world of Hindi Cinema solidified the idea of hyper-femininity as the only acceptable state of woman.

It’s so nice to see the change occurring everywhere – the equity afforded to womens’ sport, the shedding of the old binary guards. Not that me chucking on some trackies is revolutionary in any way… but I definitely pondered the moments I trade in my loose-fitting parachute pants for figure-hugging body con and how much I don’t always enjoy it.
Pallavi Sharda Instagram – I am so in awe of the work that goes on in the field of Education Equality. One of the necessary goals in a world where inequities are heightened even further as we grasp the nuanced implications of the pandemic.

The goals of the new @GemReport from @UNESCO asks who chooses and who loses out when non state actors are involved in education.
