Payal Rohatgi Instagram – Buying Online Medical Insurance is a TRAP🙏 Just few months back I had tried to upgrade my HDFC ERGO policy from Optima Restore to Optima Secure by emailing ONLINE, a month prior to renewal date. I got NO call back or a decent revertal on email. My untiring efforts by trying to connect via customer care led me to fill a form but then after scanning and emailing them I got no response. Getting tried with follow ups on emails, I paid the renewal premium of the same existing Optima Restore policy of HDFC ERGO. Now I am trying to upgrade my mother’s ROYAL SUNDARAM policy. This I am trying 2 months prior to renewal date via Online email. Last year I was told that I was late for SUM INSURED ENHANCEMENT so this year I am trying from 2 months before. No call back yet. On email, Royal Sundaram customer care is giving the reason of pandemic in delay for a call back 🙈 I thought in pandemic, ONLINE communication was to be encouraged as ONLINE payments 🤣 For asking renewal premium, all calls related to that will happen in pandemic but for a query that the existing customer has been initiating since last 1 year, there is the pandemic to blame 🙏 Buying ONLINE Mediclaim policy is waste of money and one gets stuck communicating with nameless people in email who have no credibility or reliability. Only via agent or via tie ups in hospital, the Mediclaim settlements happen in India. Sad, Sad and really Sad. The way existing customers are treated who have bought online policy is a joke. I feel sad for that COMMON MAN whose hard earned money is stuck by buying such ONLINE policies for his old parents or family members. P.S. I have record of emails supporting my interactions with HDFC ERGO and ROYAL SUNDARAM 🙏 Shri @mansukhmandviya ji and Shrimati @dr.bharatippawar ji should ask their office to look into this scam 🙏 #PayalRohatgi
