Elarica Johnson Instagram – HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE 🎄 This is the time of year for family! With the world in a crisis we are all finding it difficult to be close to the people we love. A lot of people have spent life unable to be with family especially children for all kinds of reasons. Hundreds of thousands of Children are in the care system looking for a safe environment. Somewhere to call home. Over 65,000 children live with almost 55,000 foster families across the UK each day. This is nearly 80% of the 83,000 children in care away from home on any one day in the UK. Every year thousands of new foster families are needed. This is a world very close to my heart, one always in my thoughts, especially at this time of year. Over the years I have made relationships with @thefosteringnetwork & @adoption.uk working with them to help support young people and recently looking into @actionforchildrenuk and the fantatic work they do to support vulnerable children and the people in their lives.
