In the last 72 hours I said goodbye to #Brooklyn99 and I hugged some of my oldest and closest friends for the first time in 2 years. It was an emotional and healing few days. Thanks NYC for always making my heart so damn happy. ❤️❤️
Well…. The bitch got me. I’ve been in isolation for a week, finally tested negative today and getting some much needed fresh air. Thankfully my symptoms were really mild, only had two days of intense fatigue (thank you vaccines!) and thankfully no one else I was in contact with has tested positive. Our Christmas is slightly ruined, but I know how much worse this all could’ve turned out. I wanted to post this for all the people going through this. I see you. I am so sad and frustrated, and also grateful and counting my blessings. As my very good friend reminded me, I can hold space for all the feelings. So very grateful to @davidfumero for holding down the fort. He never lost his patience. So serene and calm the entire time. Like a monk in the face of screaming kids. I was like “is he meditating or parenting?!” 😜 Jokes aside, any parent suddenly going solo during Xmas time deserves a medal. 💖💖 Merry Christmas everyone. Count your blessings and hold your loved ones close. After you take a rapid test.

This year was kind of rough, but there were bright spots…. Enzo started Kindergarten, and Axel turned one! David and I got two much needed solo weekends away. Auditions and work from home became a weird new normal… there were also celebrations, cathartic moments, some hard goodbyes, some exciting hellos & inspiring beginnings. I really can’t complain, but I’m definitely looking forward to a new year, new challenges, and more growth! Happy New Year friends 💖❤️💗

I had so much fun reuniting with my #B99 crew on this, I cried when I saw the jukebox in the bar (so I staged a whole scene next to it), and I had so much fun collaborating with my friends @rickpage_ & @philaugustaj once again! The cast was so lovely to me, and I had the best time working with them and all of our guest actors! And @prophmatic is a human joke machine, and I hope we get to work together again someday soon! Legend. Icon. Genius. Getting to play Kathy in Company my last year at NYU was a real dream come true moment. West Side Story made me fall in love with musical theatre, and with movies. I watched A Boy Like That a gazillion times growing up. His music and art taught me so much about myself and about life. There will never be another composer like him. Rest In Peace Sir.
