Rukmini Vijayakumar Instagram – Although the year has been far from normal – I lost my father, I’ve had no live performances, my studio is barely functional, and I’ve had the hardest year of my life – I realise that I have a lot to be thankful for. I starting learning music again, I learned diving, I had a lot of time to think – so I wrote a book. I also have learned a lot about filmmaking, directing, choreography for film. I have created a learning platform online that has forced me to structure my teaching practice with a lot of thought and consideration. Many of my students have grown despite the challenges of the online platform. I have a beautiful home and a loving family. I certainly hope that performances on stage will return will full vigour, but I know nothing will ever be the same again.
