Shenaz Treasurywala Instagram – Would you like to try Watsu?
I was cradled, stretched, massaged gently by Daniel my watsu therpaist. At one point he pulled me close to his heart and I heard his heartbeat. Yes this felt very intimate but I was extremely comfortable with this gentle kind man. It gave me a feeling of being in my mother’s womb with the water and the gentle sound of the heartbeat.
After the therapy I had a wave of emotions come over me. I even cried a little but Daniel told me this is very normal and a lot of people become emotional after the watsu.
“I am a water lover so of course I loved it but what about people who are scared of water”, I asked Daniel. He said it helps you get rid of the fear of water and many people come to him to unlock their fear of H2O
Watsu has all kinds of benifits – Mental, physical and emotional.
The full form of Watsu is water shiatsu. Shiatsu comes from Japan and finds its origins in the ‘Nadi’ system from India. So was Watsu originated in India then?
This Liquid Fllow was so peaceful, I can’t wait to go for my next Watsu Therapy!
Thanks Daniel. I doubt he has instagram but if anyone knows him, pls show him this video! 🙂
I got the Watsu at Quiet Healing Centre in Auroville Tamil Nadu
