Share This Post FacebookTwitterPinterestWhatsAppReddItTelegram Mr. Grumpy Mehta! That’s what we fondly call him. Mr. Grumps is growing up so fast. He is now a full blown person with his own personality, his moods, his likes and dislikes. He loves his food, his naps, his bath. He loves staring out of the window, he loves his Dadda and ofcourse he loves his Mumma the most. But the camera… Not so sure about that! He is always giggling like a goof ball, throughout the day, but everytime a camera points towards him, he just stares into it with smouldering intensity, which seems mostly grumpy, just as it is in this photo, almost trying to tell us ‘Why are u making me do this? Let me move around, hold things and be curious. I just don’t have time to pose for pictures.’😃 I still remember when @ayushdas came over to take some photos of Sufi with us, when he was 5 months old, he had not smiled for 2 whole days while he was here… Well 5 months down, not much has changed. 😬😬 So this is him… At his grumpiest best, looking at you’ll and letting Mumma get her picture, before he slips away and goes exploring around his little Sufiverse… But we’ll find him again and someday, get a picture of him giggling, captured in all its goofy glory.❤️❤️ @babysufim 🥰 #SufiandMaa Bade Achhe lagte hain … Yeh cushions Yeh chaddar Yeh flowers Aur.. ❤️ Statutory warning: If the person on your screen looks momentarily distracted in an otherwise beautiful moment on your favourite TV show, he was only thinking about going home to flip that bed linen to the one he saw on his favourite home grown brand @ekbyekta Thank you @ektarkapoor for this very beautiful distraction ❤️ Getting my ‘Tarun’ to call your ‘Tarun’ for the gorgeous evil eyes all your heroines are sporting 😉 And @ayushdas for documenting this very intimate reelomentary! Hi, this is Sufi, again. Actually, not again cause it’s the first day of my first New Years ever! Such a cliche, I tell ya. You stay awake until midnight only to kiss everyone, drink some more milk and fall off the bed by 12:10 am! Now lemme come to the good part which everyone on Instagram keeps harping about on their reels. NO ONE at this NYE party is nursing a hangover! Hallelujah Good year to ya, folks! P.S – Had the best New Year party with my four closest buds who I cannot do without. Tell me how your New Year’s Eve was in the comments below😛 Finding meaning & happiness through video calls across different time zones, cities & quarantine through the last 45 days 🎈 We made it @jank_ee @babysufim ❤️ #ReelItFeelIt #HomeAwayFromHome I somewhere always knew that a virus like Covid will get to most of us sooner or later, but what actually went down last week was something I did not foresee. While most of you may know that my husband tested positive 2 weeks ago, i also got the symptoms a couple days later. I thought not attending my sister’s wedding was the worse that covid could do to me, not realising that what I was about to experience in the coming week were to be the hardest days of my life, yet. Sufi started developing fever a day after I tested positive & it refused to come down inspite of water sponges & medication. We rushed him in the middle of the night to the hospital when his fever crossed 104.2 & what followed were very hard days in the Covid ICU with my baby boy. My fighter went through it all. Right from being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, to him getting pricked 3 IVS, a bunch of blood tests, RTPCR, bottles of saline, antibiotics & injections to get his body temperature down. Sometimes, I wonder how did this tiny human get so much strength to face all of it? His fever finally broke after 3 days. Having to single handedly take care of Sufi 24/7 at the hospital felt exhausting. Little did I realise that a huge part of the fatigue & exhaustion was also because I was positive too. I will be forever grateful to my nanny who agreed to step in to the Covid ICU & take care of Sufi after the first two days as my body had almost given up. Sufi’s pead @sonalsaste , the entire staff at SRCC Childrens hospital & esp. Dr. @samdanivinit . I cannot thank all of you enough for the timely treatment & giving us the courage to fight this. Of what we have read, Omicron is supposedly milder on adults, but to all of you with babies please do not put your guard down. Not now. Our babies cannot wear masks or get vaccinated so we need to be all the more cautious as we are coming back home to them. The idea of sharing this fight has been to make sure I can extend this awareness, even if it’s to just 1 more parent. Also Sufi turns 11 months, today. Thank you my superhero for inspiring us by your resilience & that goofy smile which makes every storm seem so trivial in comparison. To the most transformative, expansive & joyous year of our lives, 2021! To being still, not knowing FOMO and finding love and joy within ❤️ Happy New Year, Peepz! Home and Heart is where they are … ❤️ Happy New Year from my boys to yours 😉 #Beyondgrateful Sufi holding onto Mumma as he gears up to attend his 1st ever wedding… Couldn’t have asked for a better start for him, with #ThebestparthofMi celebrations. @bhoomiparekh26 @twoparthstory Goa International Airport The last 4 days have been overwhelming to say the least. So many of you have reached out.. friends, family, acquaintances, people I’ve met online, concerned new parents and so many strangers. Thank you for checking in on Sufi and offering your prayers and wishes, all of which we greatly cherish as a family. This reaffirms my belief that we must SHARE. Not just the good part but we must share our struggles, our challenges and our battles. To document them for posterity and look back at them on a day when one may feel hopeless and use this to gather the strength to continue and overcome.. But the real takeaway for me is that if even one other person can use this experience to be more cautious, more alert and in times of challenge, derive even an iota of courage or hope through this, then this fight was not just ours. Sufi is getting stronger by the day and is back to being his mischevious and inquisitive self. That’s the beauty about babies, right!! Their resilience and their ability to forget what they have gone through and continue with life like nothing ever happened … I wish I could posses that! For anyone who may need any kind of support, a pead. reference or just a conversation about the same, I am a DM away. ❣️ The last 4 days have been overwhelming to say the least.
