Alright, so clearly this reel audio is traveling to places I couldn’t have even imagined of! I made this video last year during the lockdown as a way to stay productive & to stay sane at home – I mean, I literally shot this in my car lol 🙊 I arranged the vocals, had @vedalahemachandra expertly mix them, I jankily attached a go pro to the middle of my dashboard and did a test shoot to learn how to mask properly on FCP🙏🏻

This Reelmas, I’ve shared with you all some beautiful trips I’ve been blessed to go on. While it all looks glamorous, I also want to be honest with you. This year was probably the worst for me in a very long time. I found myself in a rut that lasted months and I honestly wasn’t okay. Something needed to change. So on a whim, I decided to go to New York City for a month with no expectations. And I can’t tell you how much this helped me – just the decision to go live in a strange new city and get out of my comfort zone turned out to be quite pivotal.
Reelmas was created with a different purpose this year. It’s easy to put up a facade, especially on social media. And it’s even easier to judge people based on the facades you see. But just know that behind every pretty picture you’re scrolling through, there’s an actual person, going through the same normal challenges of life every single day, just like you.
Life is complex. We are all the same, we are all human, so be kind to one another. Happy holidays! 🥰

This trip is super special to me because this is where I was when I released my first ever original, Naalo Thapana. The song was my baby that I worked on for a year and I remember waking up so nervous when it was time to release. Naalo Thapana reminds me of what I am capable of and it honestly surprises me every time that I came up with all of that myself. Of course, thank you to @robbierosenlive @kittuvissapragada @tj3xmusic @harikanthgunamagari @sunielg for bringing it all to life 🙏🏻
Following the most meticulously planned Hawaii trip, we went to Palm Springs with absolutely no plan. We went to Joshua tree for half a day, it ended up raining most of the week & we realized there wasn’t much to do in Palm Springs except golfing. So we decided to learn how to golf and got yelled at by multiple people because we had no idea what we are doing. It was honestly a fail of a trip but we laughed through it all – sometimes the best memories come from spontaneity ❤️

I still can’t believe I gave an actual TED talk earlier this year (I clearly suffer from a small case of imposter syndrome 🙊) The theme of this talk was breaking stereotypes & the glass ceiling. While gleaning from my experiences, I wanted to convey that there are true consequences of going against the norm – daily struggles that aren’t perhaps talked about maybe because the focus is on the achievements.
