Fiann Smithwick Instagram – Here’s an old time lapse video of some prep work I did using pneumatic micro tools (an airscribe) to reveal a beautiful Asteroceras obtusum ammonite from the Jurassic Coast.

This was just the first stage of the prep to reveal one side of the shell. I also removed the rock from the other side of the shell to make it really stand out from the rock matrix in a sculptural way. It also makes it translucent so the light goes through it.
