This was the day that Tracey and Charlotte Dawson came to the set and brought a load of Les’s things for us to have a look at. Here I’m holding his actual diary from the time. It’s a rare thing for an actor portraying a real person at a certain time in their life to be able to read their most private thoughts about those very same events. In their own handwriting.
