Bridget Regan Instagram – Eamon and Frankie were away somewhere, most likely San Diego. I was home, but not alone because Henry (that’s the thing about pets, right) It was summer night and a fat fly had been slow buzzing around the apartment all evening. I was trying to get to sleep early, I had an early call the next morning for ‘The Last Ship.’ Henry was on the bed, eyes mostly shut, sometimes clocking me as I chased this asshole fly around. I knew the loud buzz would keep me awake. After many failed attempts, I gave up. The fly won. I went into the bedroom to try and get some sleep.

Before I turned off the lights, the fly came in again. My frustration boiled. Then, in one swift motion, Henry reached both of his paws up above his head as he stretched up long on his hind legs and clapped his paws together and then slammed them down on the bed. He sniffed inside his paws and… ate the fly, tilting his head to one side as he chomped open mouthed while looking at me like, “Easy.”

Never had I been more proud. What a boy. My Henry. My Hee Raa, my Hee Dah Mow Mow, the Razzle Dazzle Ree Rah.
