Jihae Instagram – Nov 2016 I was on a train to DC for Mars screening at the Whitehouse. Trump’s election win was confirmed that day & the city felt like a giant funeral home. The Whitehouse screening of Mars was expectedly cancelled & the next day Natgeo held a premier at their headquarters in DC. At the reception I learned Leonard Cohen had just passed away. I held myself together, but I wanted to fall to the ground & bawl my eyes out, not just because of the loss of a beautiful soul who saw straight through things but also because of the unbelievable reckoning of where we were at as a society & what’s to come. I recorded this song live the day after with Kyle Sanna.
