Being married to a writer I get a front row seat to how much pining, research, writing, editing, rewriting, character bios, etc… Part literary forensic scientist part psychologist with a heightened imagination. So when I sit down to read a script I shut it down and take in the words…slowly. I know how much was put into each and every word. When it’s done right, really right, it’s almost like you are holding your breathe awaiting the next moment to savor. The This Is Us writers do exactly that, they take my breath away. Tonight’s episode completely stole my heart. Thank you @elanmastai for your beautiful words.
