Rukmini Vijayakumar Instagram – Day 15: #100daysofinnergrowth I want to consciously remove these phrases and anything of similar meaning form my vocabulary. “I did this for you” “everything I’ve done for you” etc. In reality, no matter how selfless an act maybe, we ultimately do it for ourselves. We have satisfaction of having done the right thing in most cases. We have the joy of giving in some cases and we have the clear conscience of making an effort in other scenarios. I remind myself of this often, but still sometimes my emotions get the better of me. So I thought maybe it would help to remove these phrases from my vocabulary altogether. I don’t mean that removing implies that I don’t verbally express the feeling. I don’t even want to think that I’ve been magnanimous at any point of time….
