Swaraguccha, a string of swaras and jathis . This composition is from one of Raadha kalpa’s earliest productions, “Shankarabharanam”

The audio is now available on iTunes and other music platforms . And the full video is available to watch on YouTube on the Raadha kalpa channel.

The music will also be available on Instagram reels very soon! So be sure to tag me if you dance to it ❤️

Hope you all enjoy it!

Rukmini Vijayakumar Instagram – Day 14: #100daysofinnergrowth

While writing “Finding shiva” I thought a lot about the part that I play in the community. The value of arts… do I really do anything as a dancer ? What value do I add to the lives of people?

And although at times I feel that the arts don’t save lives like doctors, or build cities like urban planners… the arts have an unusual place in peoples lives.

We often think what we do is of less of more value, and I certainly have been through times where I’ve felt like what I do is not of much value in the larger sense. But that’s not true.

Every single one of us adds value in our own way as long as we are diligent and dedicated to what we do. No work is less or more. Each of us have a place in society and contribute to it in a unique way.

Today I spent a few moments to show that I value the work of those around me…. A gesture, a few words… sometimes that’s all it takes.

This beautiful photo is from our coffee table book “Discovering Devi” . The limited edition is available in india on notionpress. (Link in my bio)
