Tamzin Merchant Instagram – It has been an absolute joy this January that #TheHatmakers has been @waterstones Children’s Book of the Month! Seeing my book displayed in the windows of Waterstones stores up and down the country – and so many absolutely smashing, wonderfully imaginative and lovingly-created displays – has been a total thrill. Meeting booksellers who are passionate and brilliant – and keen on my story! – has been so wonderful. I want to say a huge thank you to all the brilliant booksellers who have put The Hatmakers into the hands of readers this month – we made it into the Top 10 in the Children’s Chart! How amazing is that?! Thank you all – booksellers and readers and the brilliant team at @puffinbooksuk – for a truly magical month. Today I visited a Waterstones to see my book being Children’s Book of the Month on its final day. It was glinting in the window beside a Philip Pullman book & I felt indescribably delighted. ALSO… somewhere in London is one book that I signed and ALSO drew a magical hat in (see the final pic in this post). I wonder who’ll find it. ✨🎩✨
