Home Actor Andrew Gillum HD Photos and Wallpapers March 2022 Andrew Gillum Instagram - Today I’d like to introduce you to Chicago Alderwoman @mariafor49 for our #womenshistorymonth series. Before taking public office, Maria was the Executive Director of Our City Our Voice, a national nonprofit organization she founded to enable communities and governments across the country to redesign democracy for more empowered and equitable participation. Her expertise in public participation is grounded in grassroots organizing efforts for social change. Maria is a member of @nbjconthemove Good Trouble Network and is committed to fighting on behalf of the Black same gender-loving community and those who have been left behind for far too long. While we say all politics is local, Maria is the embodiment of what showing up for your community looks like. We’re lucky to have her in the fight.

Andrew Gillum Instagram – Today I’m taking a moment to appreciate Colorado State Legislator Representative @leslieherod for our #womenshistorymonth series.

Leslie was elected in 2016 as the first LGBTQ African American in the Colorado General Assembly, while receiving the highest number of votes of any candidate running in a contested election. Leslie is also a member of @nbjconthemove Good Trouble Network.

This session, Leslie has been instrumental in crafting legislation focused on the opioid crisis and making Juneteenth a holiday in the Centennial State.

Thank you for your leadership, Representative!
Andrew Gillum Instagram – NYC Councilmember @cmcrystalhudson is today’s #womenshistorymonth feature. A member of @nbjconthemove Good Trouble Network, Crystal became the first-ever same gender loving Black woman elected to the New York City Council.

Crystal’s commitment to public service began in 2013 when her mother started exhibiting signs of Alzheimer’s disease. As the only child of a single mother, Crystal quickly became the primary caregiver for her mother and experienced first-hand how difficult it is for working families to navigate complex, bureaucratic systems and access services and resources needed to keep older New Yorkers safe and healthy at home, where they can age in place and maintain their dignity.

Crystal’s existence has always been about service. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the Councilmember.
