Luca Tartaglia Instagram – @totemshortfilm is just a first little step into the business. It’s my first attempt to contribute in building a specific category in the Hollywood Film industry. There is a severe lack of authentic Italian roles and actors in the United States. Italian-American is not Italian. Not worst not better, just different. The american stereotypes about Italians are strictly related to the past and to a specific category of Immigrants. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Armani, Gucci… you name it… but in Movies Italy is still the small village in the south and the Italian man is still the chubby mobster with dark features from the East Side. People drive Italian, eat Italian, drink Italian, wear Italian, but when it comes to film where are The Italians? “House of Gucci?”😂 Thanks to all the people that worked on TOTEM, all the festivals, and my writing partner @underlifemaps.
