There is a severe lack of authentic Italian roles and actors in the United States. Italian-American is not Italian. Not worst not better, just different. The american stereotypes about Italians are strictly related to the past and to a specific category of Immigrants. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Armani, Gucci… you name it… but in Movies Italy is still the small village in the south and the Italian man is still the chubby mobster with dark features from the East Side.
