My boy @dboomkillah Wrote and Directed this touching piece! And now the mandatory festival that films must go through on there Oscar run is premiering it to the WORLD!! Not the US…THE WORLD, Craig!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾 But the thing that’s more amazing to me is that I met @dboomkillah doing BACKGROUND WORK almost 10 years ago!! That’s right, You know those mothafuckas you don’t pay attention to in the background of movies and shows that just walk back and forth and don’t say anything?! We met doin that shit lol I didn’t know he would become this dope director and he didn’t know I would go on to do what I’ve done. We just bonded over Football and the love of great lyricist like Kendrick Lamar. We built a RELATIONSHIP! That’s how you SUSTAIN a career in this business or any business for that matter. With GENUINE RELATIONSHIPS!! I didn’t have to audition for this. It was an offer because that’s my dawg👌🏾 Now we #OscarBound 🏆🥂😳
Moral of the story: Build your tribe! Work with people that want to work with you and create Dope shit! And don’t be an asshole because that assistant today can be the head of Warner Bros Years down the road.
