Sunder Ramu Instagram – Do you see Gandhiji’s shadow emerging from what is actually Kamal sir’s ? Conceptually and lighting wise it was one of our tougher shots. It was one of the the first on that day and it was done purely with lighting and no digital manipulation and the fact that the shadow had to show up on threads was not very easy. But that’s the beauty of working with Kamal sir. We shot this a year back, bang in the middle of the pandemic after taking tests of every technician that entered the floor. He had an injured leg but still pushed the whole day without breaks to pull off everything we decided to experiment with. He was willing to let me try, to let me fail if I had to. As long as we were getting what we wanted to achieve. I’ve never called myself a celebrity photographer cos I’ve never found the need to piggyback off someone else’s fame, but working with Kamal sir has nothing to do with working with a celebrity.
