Walton Goggins Instagram – And I thought I was cool. Country music Gold right there… Human Gold too. This is the Great Peanutt Montgomery and his wife Charlene. Peanutt was George’s best friend. He wrote over 75 songs for Jones and Tammy Wynette. His most famous being “We’re Gonna Hold On.” He wrote for so many other great artist in his prolific career. I play Peanutt in this upcoming narrative about George and Tammy. Got to sit with them for almost 3 hours listening to their stories. Some that became folklore in Country Music and others that would have but I’ll never repeat. What a time. Honestly though…listening to people re-live their journeys is one of the greatest pleasures I derive from being alive. An evening I won’t soon forget. All we got to do is HOLD ON y’all.
