Anja Savcic Instagram – Some fun facts: The sands are made of ground gypsum crystal – a clear substance. The dunes only appear white as snow because the grains bump into each other and their scratches reflect the sun’s rays. It’s never too hot to walk on because gypsum doesn’t absorb heat.
