Anjali Patil Instagram – My First Public screening of Neither A Girl Nor A Woman. A documentary idea, I conceived almost 2 and half years ago. A process based work which was pitched to 3 contemporary artists @ipalawat @kirankhoje3 @poorvibhave We started to work together around the simple question what does it mean to be a girl or a woman? And along with that came hurricanes of questions. But we played with them gently, sang lullaby to them. @na_zia_khan came with her camera to capture our conversations. @sanjay_jamkhandi became everything that I needed on this documentary with almost nothing. And then came Suchitra Sathe, one of the most talented Editor just by reading Director’s Note. @shanemendonsa gave an internal musical landscape and this film kept expanding. @ketakichakradeo @ganesh_phuke @abdeabhijit @meeche.mayuri You have been generous to have come on board for this film! This is @anahatfilms first and that’s why it becomes even more special! Thank you @suresh_sh1 for organising this screening. The film was received by our friends, colleagues and professional artists with so much love that it gives me courage and hope to keep singing these songs out loud in the world.
