Ashlynn Yennie Instagram – Sunday Funday with this Babe 💞 Quick Story: It took me literally 3 months of going to the carousel every weekend with Viv for her to not have a meltdown from the stimulus. A meltdown is different from a tantrum. Very different. It was all too much for her but I could see she wanted to ride the carousel and was always so excited so I created a routine she could grasp and I never derail from it. Ever. Andddddd today she LEAD ME through the steps! She bought the tickets. Yep, I make her hand money to cashiers as much as I can. She then waits in line with the other kids, patiently. Then gives the tickets to the guy at the gate, he even got a smile from her today. She gets to pick out her horse and we ride. We do this two times in a row. Then she gets a toy out of the quarter machines, well today they changed all the toys. I was freaked, as any mom with a kiddo on the spectrum would be but she surprised me. She just looked at all the toys, made me describe them all as she pointed to each little toy, then decided she didn’t want any and took my hand and we skipped back to the car. From an outsider this might not seem like much but it’s HUGE. My mama heart is so happy.
