About yesterday…❤️ Many years ago I discovered the love of my life and became a follower of Jesus (swipe to 3rd photo). That was 2005. I was a baby😭 • The ebb and flow of life took me to places I never thought I would go, experiences I wish I could erase, decisions I wish I could undo…I got a little lost. A little confused. A little lonely. A lot sad😢. I missed my Love. • The unfortunate news is I can’t change the past. It’s impossible. The GREAT news is I finally remembered that I didn’t have to! I came to my senses and knew all I had to do…was GO HOME☺️ To my first love. To Jesus. Where peace, joy, and TRUE love awaited me. • Sooooo yesterday I traveled to Alabama and was baptized by my amazing brother and now pastor @dewaynerembert. Fun fact— if you look at the last slide, he was there for my first baptism. So funny how life comes full circle. • Anyway, just wanted to share some joy I’m experiencing. And to thank my sister, brother in law, and niece for sharing in my experience yesterday. • I’m so happy❤️❤️❤️

January 2021, my sister asked me where I wanted to be for my birthday. * “On somebody’s set creating dope stories.” I quickly replied. * Today, on my birthday, I am doing just that. Including commercials and print, I’ve auditioned more like 150 times this year. * I booked one job. ONE. * The funny thing is, I guarantee myself one of those 149 “rejections” is gonna have a great story attached to it…how I had no idea THAT audition was the beginning of a future, life changing opportunity. *Sometimes we see the dream as so big and elusive. I sure damn did. * It’s NOT. The dream is every opportunity that comes your way to demonstrate to the world who you are. Fully and wholly. Now. * Every conversation. Risk. Meeting. Move. Departure. Relationship. Breakup. Mistake. Prayer. Vision board. Cry. Embrace. And for me… every audition. * Dreams aren’t asking anything of us but to show up and do our best. Consistently. Every day. To the best of our ability. * The dream, in its infinite wisdom, is growing and shaping us to be able to hold it, protect it, and pass it on. * 2020 is not a year I’m gonna try to forget. It’s actually a year I will hope to remember my entire lifetime. The year I learned that my only “job” in life is to show up. Be here. Fully present. In the flow. Surrendered to the Divine.
