Right after I auditioned for Akshara, things started happening very fast. I had to move to Mumbai obviously, but my father always had my back. When I explained to him the opportunity I was presented with, he ensured that my dreams got the support they needed. He pushed me to complete my studies – and that was his only condition – so I did! Of course, in those days, shooting shifts were never-ending. As the lead, I had to shoot for long hours, sometimes overnight. So, I would study between the shots or at night after pack-up. It wasn’t easy but my perseverance was based on my father’s vision of me being someone I could never see.
