Thank you @aliaalmazrouei for organising such a special tour, of what is such a sacred place for so many, and for lending me an abaya to wear. After taking in this breathtaking place, we ended the tour with a display talking about “People of Determination” a phrase used instead of “people with disabilities”. To see this level of inclusion was so wonderful. The term itself reflected what I often think about the people I know who navigate life with a disability… who do not let it stop them achieving their goals… who push through in a world that can be so unkind and exclusionary….
