Pooja Kumar Instagram – Today is a very sad for all classical dancers. My guru (teacher) #panditbirjumaharaj passed away. He was the master in Kathak, a form of Indian classical dance from North India. I started learning at the age of 8 and spent my summers in India learning from him in #delhi and #omprakashmishra in #lucknow. His grace, elegance, and mastery of the art form will live on with all of us. I have so many memories of him and his sheer innocence and playfulness that just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes.
