Every single day I am so grateful to get on this stage. And every day it’s also really hard. Every day another hiatus, another closing. Every half hour we hold our breath for rapid tests, hoping we have enough people to do a show. I feel like we are cheating some kind of death. Every day is a close call. It’s truly an unsustainable state of being. It’s been the longest two years and somehow an even longer two months. I’m trying to stay present, to look people in the eye. I’m shook and I’m trying to hold still. There is no new normal. Only the constant struggle to keep going. So I’m trying to look you in the eye, and hold your hand, and acknowledge that we are having a hard time, together; we are playing on the edge of the stage, we are living on the edge of a cliff.
