Jankee Parekh Instagram – Friday was a special day. I met my guruji after almost 2 years. Thank you, pandemic. But what was even more special was that he held my little Sufi for the very first time.

Guruji has been telling me for years ‘Mujhe Nana banaado, Mujhe Nana banaado ‘. And finally ‘ Maine unhe Nana bana hee diya 😃😃’!

When Sufi laid his eyes on Guruji, he almost instantly latched on to him. He sat so comfortable in his lap, and very attentively listened to every word that he said.

Sufi also had his first singing lesson with him where Guruji taught him ‘Sa’ and Sufi in turn showed Guruji all the sounds he can make with his vocal chords :)

Sufi’s curious eyes couldn’t get enough of the harmonium.
He kept pressing the keys all day and was so happy that Mumma finally got him his first real musical instrument.

What can be more special than Sufi getting blessings from my Guru who I have spent half my life with.

Guruji now looks forward to coming home more often, not just for me, but also for his grandson, to introduce him to the world of music and share life lessons with him just the way he has has been sharing with his daughter for all these years.
