I have heard the sound of music ever since I was in the womb. Mumma used to play Mozart tracks every night ( still does) and also sang for hours with her Guruji.
I have heard his voice so much that when I met for the first time there was an instant connect. I also had my first lesson with him which was so powerful, that it shook me up… quite literally😃
Mumma says ‘Music’ heals the soul and Dadda says ‘Rhythm’ is the basis of everything in life! I guess that’s where my name also comes from..

#TheSufiStory – Nam MyoHo Renge Kyo
I heard the sound of this for the first time when I was in my mumma’s womb. It felt like a brilliant horse was galloping through the meadows and I was the blue firefly which was stuck to it and travelled afar.. My folks call it being in high life condition and one with the universe.
When I was younger I would sit for hours in front of the gohonzon with my beads staring at the book whilst Dadda would chant.
When mumma struggled to make me sleep, she would just keep me in front of the gohonzon and I would gently fall asleep.
Mumma says chanting gives her the strength to fight all challenges and Dadda says if you have NMRK in your life, you can achieve indestructible happiness!
For now, I just love the sound of Nam MyoHo Renge Kyo.. It makes me blush and I want to keep listening to it all the time. When my folks say let’s chant, I rush to our study room and sit in front of the Butsudan (My temple) & I wait patiently for them to open it.
Currently I am really trying hard to understand what’s written in the prayer book. Dadda says, just like we brush our teeth to keep them clean, we practise this law of Cause & Effect, morning and evening to polish our hearts… Human Revolution!
Isn’t that just amazing !!

Both @nakuulmehta and I have always been very particular about the examples we are setting for Sufi. That’s why we try our best to be equal partners in our parenting duties, in running the house and most importantly know that in our hearts that no work is going to be limited to one of the genders. That home is made of us ❤️
That may or may not be true for every home. Because even today, women are not seen as Equals, and that reflects in the way their time, their personal priorities, their points of view are not given equal importance.
