A starry sky blessing the couple as they took pheras, a reverie of dance and music taking over the air, and the loved ones rejoicing galore. It was a true delight to be in the middle of all the celebration. Little did I know that the most heartwarming moments were yet to unfold. As the rituals approached an end, the moon rose further over our heads and it was time for the bride’s bidaai. Within a few moments, the air seemed to take a tender and poise turn as Nidhi began to bid her goodbyes. Pearly tears were followed by the most endearing smiles and words of love. And it was then that I took these photographs, that I feel encompass all the love that floated in the air. It is indeed a stroke of fortune that my work allows me to freeze such delicate, fleeting moments in time.
