Rouzbeh Rashidi Instagram – Yesterday I had a wonderful time presenting a virtual masterclass as part of the 38th Tehran International Short Film Festival. Many thanks to all the programmers, organizers and technical staff for making it happen and providing this opportunity. My gratitude goes to all the students and young filmmakers who attended the event and the warm messages afterwards. Thank you, @amoozesh.iycs. Also, a few days ago, the Iranian film magazine @kokermag released an almost three-hour-long podcast about my films which can be listened to (in the Persian language) on their website: https://kokermag.com/podcast/ I am particularly happy that my work, films, and the cinematic culture that I tried to create all of my life independently are getting modest recognition in my country of birth, Iran. Although I have never felt and identified as an Iranian, Irish or European citizen whatsoever of any kind but I am deeply thankful for the countries I have lived in for many personal reasons. I am and will always be a nomad/vagabond filmmaker belonging to cinema itself, only. Onwards!
