Aishwarya Sakhuja Instagram – People close to me know the love hate relationship i share with dance.
As a child i absolutely loved dancing and didnt leave a single opportunity to show my skill as a dancer to the world. I used to be so confident with this particular skill that many a times for events i wouldnt even prepare a set choreography instead chose to dance as and how i wanted to. Even when i went for Miss India in the talent round i danced to my heart’s delight in front of icons like Javed Jaffrey and the whole Boogey Woogie team.
And then i ended up doing a project where the choreographer and his team completely crushed my confidence as a dancer. I was constantly criticised. Everything i did was WRONG and 9 months of facing that day in n day out changed me completely.
Now when i look back i wish i had someone to tell me to be more confident and have more self belief but unfortunately i didnt. I was intimidated to a point that i stopped dancing completely..
Its been 13 years since then.. i still struggle but one day i hope to get my confidence back as a dancer.
